In this workshop, participants will explore how to position themselves and their organizations to effectively communicate value to upper management and use the leverage gained to garner additional investment. 
In the workshop, participants will learn the following:
  • How to align your organizational mission with your corporation’s mission using business plan snapshots
  • The language of upper management including understanding and applying financial statements and key financial concepts
  • How to measure the value your organization brings to the corporation including what works, what does not and why
  • Techniques to communicate to upper management including techniques to change mindsets
  • How to generate a successful, credible business case to gain investment in your organization including scenario analysis, lease vs. buy, and ROI
  • The critical importance of language, organizational alignment and mindset and how you can positively impact them
Useful templates to position for value, communicate value and generate a business case for investment will be provided.
While this workshop is ideal for technical leaders as well as new managers, it will benefit anyone in a technical, functional or leadership role that seeks to better communicate the value of their organization to upper management and/or develop a case for additional investment in the organization.
