Dr. Susan Yarmey is the Technical Director, Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory, at 3M. She received her PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Connecticut and has worked at 3 other companies (Eastman Kodak Company, HB Fuller and Imation). Susan has held a variety of positions at 3M including technical management (Corporate Research Process Laboratory, Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory, Commercial Care Division), scientific researcher (Corporate Research Materials Laboratory and Commercial Solutions Division) and foundational Design for Six Sigma Black Belt (Commercial Care Division). At 3M, she has championed the development of multiple new technologies, won 2 Golden Step Awards for new products and received a variety of corporate awards including one for establishing the 3M Technical Management Tech Forum Chapter.
